Returns & Exchanges
U.S. orders may be returned up to 30 days from date the package was shipped. Returns must be in new condition, unworn and free of damages – a quick try on is cool, a float down the river, or a sweaty hike is less cool.
Orders must be returned or exchanged in original packaging or utilize packaging that can safely accommodate the size of item(s) being returned. Item(s) damaged due to improper packaging will not be eligible for a refund. With the exception of beanies, improper packaging for hats includes envelopes, poly mailers, bags and/or standard cardboard boxes that do not accommodate the size of the item(s) being returned.
FINAL SALE items are not eligible for returns or exchanges. SALE items are eligible for store credit only. We currently do not accept returns for international orders. Holiday Return Window: Any orders purchased between 11/15/25-12/25/25 will be eligible for returns and exchanges until January 31st.
Issue with an order
If you received the wrong item(s), missing an item(s), item(s) damaged due to transit, or believe your item(s) has a manufacturer defect, please email us with your order number and a photo so we can better assist.
Refunds
Processing time:
April to August: please allow 10 business days for refunds and exchanges to be processed.
September to March: please allow 5 business days for refunds and exchanges to be processed.
Once approved, we’ll refund you for the purchase price of the item(s) back to your original payment method. Original shipping charges are not eligible for refunds and an $5 restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
Please allow up to seven days for the credit to appear on your statement.
Cancellations
Unfortunately, we are unable to cancel an order after the order has been placed. If you no longer wish to receive your item, please review our return policy.
Third Party Sellers
If you purchased your item from a third-party seller or retail store, please contact them directly for questions and concerns regarding returns or exchanges. Our retailers have their own return or warranty policies, and we do our best not to infringe on their business.
Warranty
Happy Hats guarantees warranty support for manufacturer defects at company discretion for 6 months from the date of purchase. Warranty excludes product altered after purchase, damage caused by normal wear, and damage caused by improper use or storage. Warranty is void without valid proof of purchase from myhappyhats.com
Happy Hats is not liable for any physical damages, incidental or consequential, due to the improper use and wear of your product and will not be accepted under warranty. Happy Hats does not cover warranty for item(s) that are lost or stolen.
